KASOL

EXCLUSIVE KASOL HIMALAYA

Kasol is a quaint little village in Himachal situated along the banks of the river Parvati. Commonly known as the 'Amsterdam of India', Kasol is a tourist attraction that is rapidly gaining fame as a popular hub for trekkers, backpackers, and nature lovers. The valley is situated 23 kms from Bhuntar and next to the religious town of Manikaran and is one of the best places in the country just to sit back and chill in the panorama of snow-clad mountains, pine trees and serene river.

Famous for its trekking trails, Kasol is popular for several treks to Kheerganga, Yanker Pass, Sar Pass, and Pin Parbati Pass. To get a real feel of the culture in this region, go on a trip to the village of Malana. Located a few kilometres away from Kasol, Malana is a tiny hamlet inhabited by people living in self-imposed isolation. The village has plenty of scenic sights, though, and is often called ‘Little Greece’.

Places to see around Keylong

1. Manikaran Sahib

Located hardly 15 minutes from Kasol, Manikaran Gurudwara lies deftly on the banks of the Parvati River. It serves as a major pilgrim centre for Hindus and Sikhs. There are three hot springs where one can take a bath. The water in these springs contains sulphur which is capable of curing diseases.

2. Nature Park Kasol

Nestled in the breathtaking landscape of the Parvati Valley, the Nature Park stands as a testament to the pristine beauty of the Himalayan region. Located in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, this park is a sanctuary for nature enthusiasts seeking an escape into the serenity of untouched wilderness.

3. Cafes in Kasol

Cafes in Kasol are well-known for their scenic and often “hippie” settings, authentic Israeli cuisine, and the chance to mingle with tourists and locals alike. It is also an absolute treat for foodies given the numerous cafes that are littered around Kasol, serving a delicious assortment of food.

4. Tosh

Popular for its cannabis plantations, the tranquil village of Tosh is just another example of the unparalleled natural beauty that Himachal Pradesh holds within its bounds. Located at the far end of Parvati Valley, Tosh is untouched by modernisation and fast-paced life. With its gradual terrain and the waters of river Parvati flowing through its bosom, the Tosh Kasol trek is the go-to expedition for all adrenaline junkies.

5. Parvati River, Kasol

Parvati River flows through the Parvati Valley in Himachal Pradesh and is an indispensable part of this gorgeous region. The thundering river originates from the Man Talai Glacier, flowing north through Parvati Valley and eventually flowing into the Beas River near Kulu. Though not really a place to visit, the Parvati River is definitely a top attraction in Kasol. Since the flow is too dangerous to allow any adventure activities, you can simply sit on the rocks by the Parvati River and be mesmerised by the rumbling sounds, leaving behind the din of daily, if not forever, at least for some time.
